The NGO Force supports the “Lions Upper Basic School for the blind” in Ndola, Zambia. This school was established in 2005 with the help of the Lions club. The school is a public boarding school for blind and visually handicapped. The ministry of education took over maintenance and operations after school was opened in 2005. Presently the school has scarcely learning materials for the students. All the Braille learning materials are hand produced by the teachers. The goal of this project is to implement a Braille production centre. After the implementation of the project the teachers will follow two workshops and be fully trained to make the Braille material. The MvRF donated the Braille printer to the project.
